I
can’t believe this April issue rounds out our rst full
year of publishing! My how time ies when you’re
having fun (a.k.a. pulling hair out). Honestly, it has
been fun, but I have to admit there were times of tears and
sweat. By the third issue, I asked myself ‘what the heck
are you doing to yourself?’The next morning my answer
was clear – because I enjoy inspiring, educating, uplift-
ing, informing, and most of all, entertaining those around
me. Publishing, writing, teaching and communications
are in my blood ~ like Bubba’s words on page 30 where
he wrote, “You have been chosen to give the world that
thing that only you can give.”Thank you to all my writers,
photographers, graphic designers, contributors, advertis-
ers, and of course readers. I hope you enjoy this issue, and
all issues yet to come. It is a labor of love straight from my
heart to your homes.

I made the plunge and took a tandem dive with instructor Aimee
Bower at Bay Area Skydiving in Byron, CA. If I ever do this again,
it will be with Aimee again! Visit www.BayAreaSkydiving.com.
