I
f you meet Jennifer Jost for
the first time, you’d never
know you’re looking at a woman
who has been through a great deal
of hardships, because her outlook
on life and personality is both
positive and beautiful. It’s because
of her life experiences that qual-
ity of life and financial stability
are two very important things
in her life, and those she helps.
Twenty years ago Jennifer lost her
two young children Nicholas and
Cheri along with her husband
through a murder-suicide. Mar-
ried to an alcoholic without re-
covery for 10 years, she asked for
a divorce and he snapped.“Being
able to go through hardships and
come out of it on the other side
– it changes you,” says Jennifer.
“You either crumble or you sur-
vive and I made the choice to do
the work to survive.”At the time
she lost her eight and five-year-
old children, she was financially
stable. “I ended up losing every-
thing except for my business and
rental, and had to do a lot to start
over,” she says.“The help of fam-
ily and friends through this hard
time saved me, and it made me
want to give back to others.”
She remarried, had two beauti-
ful children from that marriage,
and became a single mom and
also a volunteer Certified Grief
Counselor and financial advisor.
“One hour with me will change
your life,” she says. “I have em-
pathy. Since I’ve had so many
blessings and gone through so
many hardships, I can sit with
someone and listen to their life
without judgment, and I can see
the rainbow in the midst of the
rain. I specialize in the unique
needs of individual investors un-
dergoing major life changes.The
unique questions and emotional
challenges investors tend to face
in those situations, I have had
considerable experience in,” she
adds. “Because of this, my clients
tell me I’ve been highly success-
ful at helping them achieve peace
of mind over their financial fu-
ture.” She says she starts with a
complimentary consultation. “I
empower them in their financial
future. We put a plan in place for
their goals and I help them find
a way to reach those goals,” she
says. “I believe everyone needs
a financial partner – you don’t
know what you don’t know,”
she adds. “Dealing with money
is one thing, but making sure the
money helps with quality of life
is another. I build relationships
with my clients and help in every
transition of life.
Tragedy into Triumph
