Printing Sales Tax Information

Design Help and File Preparation

We prefer to be sent High Resolution PDF files for printing. PDF files are a universal file type for both Mac and Windows PCs and contain all the printing information we need. If you send us a PDF file, please open up your PDF after it is generated and double check that it is the correct size, has all the correct bleeds (if necessary) and all the graphics and type look correct. See below for our guidelines for preparing your Adobe InDesign files and making a PDF before sending us your files.

Other acceptable file formats are: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe PageMaker, QuarkXpress, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Word.

Sending us your files

The easiest way to send us your files is by emailing them to your FolgerGraphics Project Manager or to prepress@folgergraphics.com. The file size limit for emailing your files is 10MB and you may receive an error message if you are sending larger files.

For larger files, FTP is the way to go. If you already have an FTP Client and are comfortable using it, we recommend that you stay with it. All you will need is the configuration and login information, which you can obtain from FolgerGraphics. If you are new to FTP, just give us a call and we will do what we can to get you set up. If you are already setup with an FTP account with us, go to our FTP Upload and you will be asked to login. For help using our FTP site, click here.

If you are not comfortable using FTP to send us your large files, we recommend using the site www.hightail.com.It's a free site for sending large files from one person to another. When sending files using www.hightail.com you can have the files sent to your Project Manager's email address or prepress@folgergraphics.com.

If you already have an FTP site of your own or access to a Large Document File sharing site like yousendit and need us to download the files, please email your FolgerGraphics Project Manager or prepress@folgergraphics.com with the download information.
